Overview
Once your applicant has completed all recommended action items from their CreditXpert plan, there are a few important next steps to ensure the score improvements are captured and reflected accurately.
Step 1: Verify All Action Items Were Fully Completed
- Log into CreditXpert and review the plan
- Confirm every balance paydown is at the exact target amount (e.g., $0 if the plan required $0)
- Even being off by a small amount can prevent the projected score from being achieved
Step 2: Submit a Rapid Rescore (only if plan used the immediate timeframe)
- Once all actions are verified as complete, submit a rapid rescore through your credit provider using documentation collected by the applicant
- Please keep in mind: CreditXpert does not facilitate any part of the rescore or credit report ordering processes
Step 3: Review the Change Report
- Once the rescore comes back, pull a CreditXpert Change Report
- This will show exactly what changed, what impacted the score, and whether the projected score was achieved
- If the score did not hit the target, review the report for any unexpected changes such as:
- New inquiries
- Scorecard changes
- Incomplete action items
